Re - Skimpy Prom Dress Lands Teen in Cuffs

If indecent dressing is to be taken seriously, being firm in enforcing the law against it, is a criteria that must be held in high esteem. Every attempts to enforce the law against indecent dressing especially in a typical Nigeria society has been a very difficult if not an impossible task.

I think, it is time we borrow a leaf from a more free more advanced environment where most of these traits are highly predominant. The case of this high school student 17 years old Marche Taylor will surely end the arguments that indecency is a universal phenomenon which must be stopped at the infancy before it finally escalates to a society where sexual abuse and teenage promiscuity is the order of the day.

However, many kudos to the authority who made a point of duty to drum it to the hearings of the wayward kid, that it is a bad example to other students and no wonder she was eventually handcuffed out of the premises.

Re - Boy detained after 110mph chase

Over indulgence of kids in movies and television could lead to stage where they continue to see the events as true reality and they can as well believe that if practiced could yield the expected result.

Because if a 14 years old boy can indulge in stealing a car and driving it at more than 110mph in a police pursuit. The idea does not just drop from the sky, but an idea so crooked and devilish, that has been dropped into the little innocent mind from over indulgence in violent movies, which can accelerate the maturity of the fertile mind into a world where rascallity and violence is the order of the day.

Re - money for AIDS research

Their is no doubting the facts that the dreaded disease called AIDS is spreading like wide fire and a lot of efforts are being put in place to make sure that it does not blown out of proportion.

But a news like this that will never stop pointing at the helplessness of the scientist to find a lasting solution especially vaccines that can eventually eradicate the dreaded diseases is a disgrace to the highly esteemed tenet of medical science.

It is on records that successful vaccines has been formulated to take care of diseases like smallpox, polio and other diseases in the past without any pride or prejudice. Therefore, I strongly believe that the inability of the scientists to find a lasting solution in these jet age is mainly due to greedy attitude of some powerful sects who have been benefiting from the campaigns against AIDS and at the same time the antiroveral and condom manufacturers will always like to remain in the market.

As a result of these, all efforts to find a lasting solutions are often nipped in the bud. However, until monopolistic tendencies are addressed among the pharmaceutical giants, AIDS as a dreaded killer will not have any solution.

Re - Dead fish and Argungu fishing festival

For every competition their will always be a cheat, this analogy, I believe is not an exemption in the recent Argungu fishing festival held in Nigeria. If the winner of the coveted prizes of $33,000, car and a ticket to go on the Hajj pilgrimage could present a dead fish weighing 66kg (10st 6lb) to claim the prize.

Then its due to the lapses on the side of the organizers who had ignored the facts that all participants in the fishing game should are getting wiser, and so the organizer should have sharpens their skill on how to identify any dead fish.

Toilet business as a profitable venture

The analysis here show that those who are looking at toilet business as a dirty and an unprofitable ventures might be making the greatest the mistakes of their life.

Toilet business had been reported to turn out a 900 % profit and it is also a universal business in which some analyst believed that African is the only continent that can lack important amenities like toilets.

The problem does not touch upon African and Asian countries alone. In Europe, millions of people have to live in homes without water supplies. About 16 percent of population of Eastern Europe does not have water and sewage systems in their homes

Re - Killing of Nigerian HIV patients in Libya

If the story as reported here that Nigerians living with AIDS are being intentionally killed in Libya by some medical doctors. Then I strongly believe that the enlightenment campaign by several bodies funded to sensitize people about HIV is still not reaching the right place.

Story of a wonder boy from the space

I am fascinated by the story of boy named Boriska from members of an expedition to the anomaly zone located in the north of the Volgograd region, most commonly referred to as “Medvedetskaya gryada”…

Re - George Russell Weller

A society that is being guarded by law is fundamentally and theoretically a normal society and it is considered a peaceful society. But some times absolute reality does not always agree with what is being argued in the court of law.

In a normal society where an 86 years old man like George Russell Weller is deemed fit to get behind the wheel, and he is expected to perform like his 16 years old counterpart.

This is an error of judgement because according to News Bureau, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign so many things are at stake, when an elderly man is allowed to have uncontrolled access to driving licenses.

Before this old man is put jail, it should be realised that an old man behind the wheel is a potential danger to himself, to fellow road users and even more to the unsuspecting members of the public.

When will the dead rest in peace ?

The slogan for the dead "may the the gentle soul rest in perfect peace" might no longer hold, because the dead that is suppose to rest in peace are on daily basis being harrased by US undertakers, even to the embarrassment of the family and to the detriment of the living.

When they are are not being hunted down by a Nigerian money ritualist, the US undertakers will be busy using their parts for transplants. It is like these evil minded guys are looking for the brutal wrath of the dead.

Time surely tell.

This is Unbelievable, Alfa raped ?

An Alfa or Islamic scholar raped a five years old girl

I am getting sick of reading about grown up men that are having canal knowledge of toddlers or under aged children. What normally drive this men into committing these immoral acts ? I believe their are two approaches to this issue, it either spiritual or habitual

The psychological trauma these children will face while growing up is better left for the imagination. I believe there should a tougher penalty against raping an under aged children, I mean a penalty beyond the confine of prison walls, a penalty that will inflicts more serious injury and pain on the child rapist. I will rather suggest instant castration for anybody, anywhere caught raping an under aged child.

Four years old boy rescued from ritualist

A four years old boy narrowly escaped the cruel hand of child kidnapper,Daniel Ighalie and also former gate man. The little boy was crying as the time the gory act was being done.

It was the painful cry of the little boy that attracted a passerby who decided to raise alarm and the the kidnapper was summarily apprehended.
According to PM News"he had already ripped open the boy’s lower abdomen with a knife, thereby spilling the boy’s intestine.

P.M.NEWS reliably gathered that the boy's scrotum and penis had been partially severed from his lower abdomen. It was also disclosed that Ighalie stabbed the boy twice in the chest before carrying out the act. The four-year-old boy was later rushed to a hospital in a pool of his blood.

Another Verbal Diarrhoea from Jack Straw

jack straw

If you want to attack a man and you want an instant reactions, please attack what he believes. The recent attack on Muslim veils by Mr Jack Straw is an issue to be taken seriously because, forging a relationship does not involve the veils which covers only the face, but I would rather ask him to start his own transformation from the mind before starting from the veils.

Statements like this often spark off religious violence and he should go and study the Islamic norms and traditions to know that Muslims and veils are inseparable and it fully supported in the Islamic community.

Hear the comment from Sheik Ibrahim Nogra, of the Muslim Council of Britain "Does Mr Straw mean that people should give up certain cultural and religious customs and practices simply because a vast majority of the country do not share them? "That is calling for assimilation. That is saying that one culture or one way of life is superior to another."

In conclusion, it does not take an aristocratic mind to decipher the suicidal undertone of this statement, I believe somebody like Mr jack Straw with his experience in human relation should know that Muslims generally, jealously guard their religion and believes any attack or whatsoever is met with super counter attack, please learn from Pope's statement.

Stranded in a foreign land

A Nigerian national Humphrey Eleweke, might be sentence to death according to Indonesia law. But he is claiming innocence of the crime of crime.
He said that "I am not afraid of death... It's all in the hands of God," . The odds seems to be against him because the lawyers are just working on pro bono basis and therefore are subjected to the whims and caprices of the superior Indonesian law.

Meanwhile, the drugs found on him was reported to be planted their by one of his business rivals who had been nursing internal grievance against him. But will He be left off the hook, despite the already soiled and battered Nigerian image, in the international community ? even his confirmed link with convicted drug barons did not augur well for the seemly innocent Humphrey.

Electronic balloting and Nigerian Electorates

morris iwu

Now, with the 2007 elections around the corner, the Independent National electoral commission (INEC) had planned to go on with the electronic balloting system here in Nigeria for the first time.

But, how safe and and accurate is this method of vote casting ? that is even becoming an object controversy in the US congress. How prepared are INEC in order to scale the huddles associated with the balloting system ?. Because according to Paul DeGregorio, chairman of the US Election Assistance Commission.

"These things are sort of like wrestling octopuses" and Avi Rubin, a computer science professor at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore said "The more people understand computers and the more they work with computers, the less thrilled they are about electronic voting," adds .

This clear indication that the INEC still have a lot hurdles to scale, because wrestling with "octopuses" is a game of life and death and it must be worn at all cost.

The Nigerian Octopuses are big and smart enough to wreck any organised political process, therefore Morris Iwu, the INEC chairman must be prepared to face the biggest and the meanest "octopuse" of his life or be damned.

Shocking : Sold his own mother ?

"Mother is golden" their is no doubt it is true, even one of the Nigerian theater Icon Peter Fatomilola said that his mother is one of his cherished possession, he emphasised that even when everybody leaves you, your mother is the only one that will remain.

But Oladeji in the city of Ado - Ekiti refused to uphold the virtue of motherhood, he did the most shocking thing that is only possible under abnormal circumstances, he sold his own mother for a meagre =N=0.38m.

I believe he was forced to confess by traditional means, which is believe is the more potent than any method of extracting information from criminals.

Cleaner with a difference

roselanedriza1_128

Next time you are hiring a house cleaner, you had better hire a real house cleaner but not the one that can clean your life and self esteem in a flash.

But these two immigration court judges simply refrered to as J and I did not find it lucky as published in Guardian Unlimited. The two judges did not find it easy with, Roselane Driza, 37 a Brazillian, cleaner and an illegal immigrant.

Roselane, was able to lay her hand on the darker side and a well kept secret of judge I in the course of their brief but interesting fling together . But the poor lady saw it as avenue to blackmail the two respected public officials, since she knew that she will not have anything to loose.

But the coutr judgement was tilted to the side of judge I, according the presiding judge, David Markham, told the jury that they did not need to sympathise with the behaviour of I and J to find Driza guilty.

"She saw an opportunity to make money by threatening two people who were in sensitive positions, threatening them about their private lives," he said "It needs little emphasis that blackmail develops and thrives where there is human vulnerability and weakness. It does not flourish among angels and saints.

"It takes root where flesh and blood people - including judges - decidedly fall from grace and err.

"This allegation is not an appeal for sympathy for J and I. Each of them, you may think, got themselves into the very uncomfortable situations with the defendant.

"Each, with more care, might have avoided more lurid scenarios ... Each of them became prey to blackmail."

He told the court that I had made a fool of himself over Driza. He had sent her an email describing her as "chilli hot stuff".

Be safety conscious

My employers will always drum it to your ears that safety in the workplace is a serious matter, therefore, it also part of the companies policy to make sure that every stake holder is equally affected.

In fact it starts right from the security gate, where every incoming visitor is made to know that every writing instructions on the billboards are to be strictly adhered to. But the most difficult area in which implementing this rules are most prevalent, is when it comes to enforcing it on the truck drivers.

The truck drivers and their motor mates or conductors in Nigeria settings are naturally difficult to control, but their services cannot be ignored. Therefore extra force is needed to make sure that the company safety policy is strictly adhered to.

The moment of reckoning finally came on Sunday when a truck driver and his conductor capitalised on the absence of safety officials at the gate and therefore drove quickly to the empty packing space meant for trucks.

But, the conductor decided to come down in order to make sure that the truck positioned very well, because in this case the driver cannot rely on the accuracy of the side mirrors for better view of the back. The conductor decided to give a helping hand, by standing right at the back of the truck, while signalling the driver for easy positioning.

The truck was moving backward, while the conductor was barking instructions right at the back of the truck. But suddenly the conductor lost his balance, because his rubber sanders got hooked right inside the wide opening of the slabs used in covering the drainage.

Before that truck could be stopped, he had ran over his conductor and as a result of this, the conductor sustained a very serious injury on the head coupled with serious loss of blood. The conductor eventually died before rescue team came.

The import of this is that, the conductor is suppose to wear safety boot compared to the leather Sanders he was wearing, because safety boot will offer more balance to the body and beside that it cannot easily get stalked in the hole created by the slab.

Campus cults on rampage

Campus cultism reared it ugly head yesterday at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State where three students were beheadedd while waiting for the vehicle to convey them back to the their hostels around 9.00pm.

The students had so far be sent packing, to prevent outbreak of laws and order from the rampaging students, who are hell bent on finding the killers at all cost.

A bizarre way to treat a friend

kids

tiffany and hall

Your childhood friend at times does not always mean your trusted friend because, human beings are unpredictable. It is this ignorance that made Jimella Tunstall, 23 trusted Tiffany Hall, 24 with all her life and she lost it together with her three children.

But what will make a normal friend split open the womb of her pregnant friend in most crudest way with aim of removing the foetus ? may be this is what she has been doing to have her own children, paternity right of Tiffany's own children must be established. I believe she killed the three children to prevent any link, in case she succeeded in nurturing the dead foetus to survival.

This is the most bizarre story I have ever read or heard about anywhere under the sky. The wicked woman must be brought to book.
